Dear Endicott Community,This is an initial notification of the snow emergency forecasted for Friday and Saturday of this week (2/8/13 & 2/9/13). Endicott College will be closed after graduate classes end tonight (2/7), and will be closed all day tomorrow and through the weekend. We encourage students that live in close proximity to go home and to do so prior to the storm. The National Weather Service is urging people to be off the roads by noontime on Friday. Please stay off the roads during the storm. If we lose power the Callahan Center will be open on generator power and the Student Affairs staff will be providing activities. The “Bird Ball” event scheduled for Saturday has been postponed to a date to be determined. Visitation for this weekend has been cancelled, out of safety considerations for those who would travel to the college.

Campus Safety will be issuing e-mail instructions via campus e-mail in regards to parking. Please monitor your Endicott e-mail closely over the next few daysThe following parking lots need to be cleared of all vehicles by noontime tomorrow (Friday 2/8/13):

The Weather Line has been changed for direct dialing. The new phone number to call from off campus or cell phone is 978-232-2300. On campus the extension is 2300. The old foul weather line, extension 3685, is no longer in service.

Announcements of College closing or delay will be made on WBZ TV (Channel 4), WCVB (Channel 5), and WFXT (Fox 25) beginning about 7 a.m. Closing and delay announcements will also be posted on the front page of the college website, and sent via campus e-mail and through SMS text messages via EC Alerts.  The Weather Line will also carry a recorded message announcing the information any time after 5:30 a.m. This number is 978-232-2300.

During imminent or current foul weather events, the call volume for the Public Safety Department increases greatly; we kindly ask that you do not call Public Safety to ask if school is cancelled, and instead please check one of the aforementioned venues (television news station, foul weather line, campus e-mail, website, or EC Alert messages).

The Graduate School determines cancellation of classes by 2:00 PM of the day of inclement weather. Classes are not automatically cancelled should the Day School cancel classes.

Usually, telephone "call lists" are developed by individual instructors regarding canceling classes. However, students are urged to call the College's Weather Line:  978-232-2300. Please do not call the switchboard.

The Campus Advisories web site has been created to provide the Endicott community with information about winter storm procedures and emergency situations. Endicott College recognizes and monitors ongoing activities at both the local and national levels. If an emergency situation arises, please check this web page for updates or call the College Emergency Information Line at (978) 232-2229 or campus system x2229.
